An Old Eye Opens

In the night sky, an old eye opens. Searching for me. And you. And now you can hang it on your wall.
Carl Waldron - An Old Eye Opens

I started designing posters. I was sitting at my computer trying to figure out what I could create that would be interesting to hang on a wall, but didn’t infringe on any copyrights. The first thing thaat jumped out at me was this old idea I had for an ancient god. An all consuming, all encompassing entity that lay asleep in the black of space. One night, I was walking my dog (RIP Halle) and looked up. I stared at the cloudless sky, awash in stars, and felt a strange helplessness. I was so small, doing such small things, in a universe that could care less. Then, I imagined an enormous eye opening up in the sky, looking back at me as I stared up. I scared the shit out of myself and went back in the house. Hahaha. Since then, the idea of a giant eye in the dark has consumed me. So, I made a Displate poster of it. Two actually. But this one freaks me out the most.

Old Eye Opens is a poster now

Something about the eye searching, it’s gaze not yet found me, that unsettles me. So much so, when I had the option to purchase my own poster at a discount, I picked the other eye option. I’ll eventually get it and hang it up, just not yet. That night still kind of haunts me dreams.

If you ever wanted a freaky eye poster for your wall. I have you covered. It’s also metal, if that makes it more enticing. Check out the rest of my posters on my shop page.
